Jacques is the beloved son of Melanie and Louis and a
loving brother to Tom and Leah. He left this earthly plane following a brittle asthma attack on 27th August 2006 aged just 12 years.
Jacques was a beautiful and unique young lad who has a gentle soul and couldn't fail to make you smile with his cheeky grin and infectious laughter. He was gentle and thoughtful and never complained about some of the difficulties he had to contend with.
He loved all things natural, frogs, spiders and especially his pet snake Samantha and was never more at home than when outdoors exploring the undergrowth or crabbing in the sea. He loved gardening and cooking with his Nan and Grandad whom he loves very much and their house was like his second home. Like most boys he spent many happy hours playing with his friends Ollie, Ford, Casper, Chris, Matt & Gaby or on his PS2 with his cousin Ben. He loved swimming and learning his saxophone and was teaching himself the piano. He loved The Simpsons and Ray Mears was his hero and so he was forever inventing things out of bits and bobs he'd find in or outside the house. He loved telling jokes he'd made up and was always saying "did you know......?" then coming out with some unusual fact generally about the world around him that seemed hard to believe ... but often turned out to be right! He had a great imagination and loved telling a tale or ten!
He loved play fighting with his brother Tom and he delighted in jumping out on his sister Leah giving her a fright or seeing how far he could wind either of them up. He loved bringing me, his Mum a flower quietly saying "this is for you Mum" accompanied by a gentle kiss. He loved being cuddled and he gave the best hugs ever. We all miss your lovely warm hugs Jacques. :-(
He loved so many things and so many people loved him so so much.
We miss you desperately Jacques, the house feels so empty (and horribly tidy) without you here but we know you're always close by...we can feel you. We're so grateful for the time we shared with you and wished it had been so much longer and are truly thankful for all the things you taught us to appreciate. We will always love you and take you everywhere with us and one day we will be with you again to catch up on those hugs. You will be in our hearts and minds forever and always. Love you beautiful. 4 years, missing you as desperately as ever :-(
Its been 4 years tomorrow and in many ways yesterday since you left us. We are all still struggling to cope in a world without you and miss you desperately. When i remember your great big smile it brings a smile to my face at the same time as a pain straight through my whole being. How can you not be here my beautiful boy?
